How To Make A Pattern

How to make a pattern along with important details to include.

Creating a pattern is as easy as tracing your opening. You can use quality Kraft paper or cardboard.

  1. Remove your existing windows to acquire the exact hole measurements and shape. The current windows will not work as a pattern as they do not tell us how they fit in the current hole.
  2. Attach quality Kraft paper covering to the inside of the window.
  3. Using a black thin felt, trace the window opening from the outside of the boat.
  4. Review the pattern to see if the lines are straight and parallel. If the opening is uneven or not parallel, provide instructions on how you want the window to fit.
  5. Specify on your patterns the following points. You may also fill out the “Window Sheet” form shown below and attach it to each template
    1. Outside or inside drawn
    2. The window number
    3. Label top side or down side
    4. Port or Starboard
    5. Forward or Aft
    6. Which way you want it to slide
    7. The Glass color
  6. Send all your patterns by courier to our attention.
  7. Patterns are not required for door cut outs.
  8. Any patterns noncompliant will be subject to a $150 administration fee.
